The SmartLittleHouse was an idea that hit us like a lightning bolt as we drove past this sad, little, neglected house. Our vision was to redesign the house as a traditional, but innovative, green building products showroom and design studio using low-energy design, recycled, salvaged and regional materials. We challenged our collaboration and design skills to do it all economically and tastefully.
Being green just for green’s sake is not in anyone’s interests. In this market where it is hard to justify substantial investments in our homes and offices we know that our suggestions for design ideas and materials need to be innovative, cost-effective and eco-friendly. We think that a change in the approach to remodeling & building where the costs are amortized over ten, fifteen or twenty years opens up many new possibilities. After all, we have all been in a house that just makes us feel great….one where all the details are right; the shapes, colors, textures and materials all work together to create something we can’t describe. That is what we want to do for you.
Our design team has experience in LEED, interior design, space planning, plumbing & lighting fixtures, cabinetry & millwork, fittings, accessories and materials that rivals any firm and if we don't have an answer for your problem, we will find it. We understand the way that homes and businesses function and we can create design concepts that are efficient, functional and beautiful.
